NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 28th February, 2019
S.O. 1095(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Forest
(Conservation) Act, 1980 (69 of 1980), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the
notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change published in the
Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), vide number S.O. 6405(E), dated the 27th December,
2018, namely:-
2. In the said notification, paragraph 3 may be read as under:-
“The terms and conditions of appointment of non-official members shall be specified in rule 4 of the said rules.
The tenure of the non-official members of the Regional Empowered Committee is with effect from the date of
expiry of earlier notification published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii),
vide number S.O. 9 (E), dated the 2nd January, 2017”
