NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 21st January, 2014
S.O. 161(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Petroleum and
Natural Gas, published in the Gazette of India vide Number S.O. 292 dated: 27th January, 2011, issued under Sub-
section (1) of Section 3 of the Petroleum and Minerals Pipelines (Acquisition of Right of User in Land) Act, 1962
(50 of 1962), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the
Right of User in the lands specified in the schedule appended to this notification for the purpose of laying pipeline
for transportation of crude oil to the storage terminal at Padur in Udpui Taluk from Booster near Thokur railway
station on Konkan railway in Mangalore in Dakshina Kannada District, to Padur in Udupi Taluk & District, in the
State of Karnataka, should be laid by Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Limited (ISPRL).
And, whereas, copies of the said gazette notification were made available to the public up to 29-06-2011.
And whereas, the Competent Authority under sub-section (1) of section 6 of the said Act has submitted
his report to the Central Government.
And whereas, the Central Government after considering the said report, is satisfied that the right of user in
the lands specified in the Schedule appended to this notification should be acquired.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 6 of the said Act, the
Central Government hereby declares that the right of user in the land specified in the Schedule appended to this
notification is acquired.
And further, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (4) of section 6 of the said Act, the Central
Government hereby directs that the right of user in the said land shall instead of vesting in the Central Government,
vests from the date of publication of this declaration, in the Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Limited, free from
all encumbrances.
