On February 24, 2020, the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs, issued notifications S.O. 840(E), S.O. 841(E), S.O. 842(E), and S.O. 843(E), under File No. 111/SM/2019. These notifications, exercising powers conferred by subsection 1 of section 70 of the Information Technology Act, 2000, declare the following systems and their underlying computer resources as "protected systems" for the purposes of the Act: (1) the Bombay Stock Exchange Online Trading System BOLTPlus of the Bombay Stock Exchange Limited BSE; (2) the Clearing and Settlement System CLASS of the Indian Clearing Corporation Limited ICCL; (3) the Trading System of the National Stock Exchange of India Limited NSEIL; and (4) the Clearing and Settlement System of the National Stock Exchange Clearing Limited NCL. The notifications were issued by Anand Mohan Bajaj, Joint Secretary.
