New Delhi, the 27th April, 2017
G.S.R. 411(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1A) of section 17A of the
Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 (67 of 1957), the Central Government, in
consultation with the State Government of Odisha, hereby reserves the area of 1738.04 hectare specified
below through M/s National Aluminum Company Limited (NALCO), a Public Sector Undertaking owned
and controlled by the Central Government, for undertaking prospecting or mining operations in respect of
bauxite deposits in the Taluk of Pottangi of Koraput District in the State of Odisha for a further period of five
years with effect from 27th April, 2017, except the areas already held under prospecting licence or mining
lease and declares that no other prospecting licence or mining lease shall be granted in the said area, during
the said period of five years lying within the boundary of such reserved area and for the mineral specified
below, namely:—
