9. राज्य जविेषज्ञ मूल्यांकन सजमजत, चंडीगढ़ सामूजहक उत्तरदाजयत्व के जसद्ांत पर काया करेगी और अध्यक्ष प्रत्येक मामले
में सवासम्मजत पर पहुंचने का प्रयास करेगा और यदद सवासम्मजत पर नहीं पहुचं ा िा सकता है तो बहुमत का मत अजभभावी होगा
।
10. चंडीगढ़ सरकार प्राजधकरण, चंडीगढ़ और राज्य जविेषज्ञ मूल्यांकन सजमजत, चंडीगढ़ के सजचवालय के रूप में काया
करने के जलए दकसी अजभकरण को अजधसूजचत करेगी और कानूनी कृत्यों के संबंध में सभी जवत्तीय और संभार तंत्र सहायता,
जिसके अंतगात आवास, पररवहन और ऐसी अन्द्य सुजवधाएं हैं, उपलब्लध कराएगी ।
11. प्राजधकरण, चंडीगढ़ और राज्य जविेषज्ञ मूल्यांकन सजमजत, चंडीगढ़ के अध्यक्ष और सदस्ट्यों को बैठक फीस, यात्रा भत्ता
और मंहगाई भत्ता चंडीगढ़ राज्य सरकार के जनयमों के अनसु ार संदये दकया िाएगा ।

S.O. 567(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Environment
(Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) and in pursuance of the notification of the Government of India in the
erstwhile Ministry of Environment and Forests, number S.O. 1533(E), dated the 14th September, 2006
(hereinafter referred to as the said notification), the Central Government hereby constitutes the State Level
Environment Impact Assessment Authority, Chandigarh (hereinafter referred to as the Authority, Chandigarh)
comprising of the following Members, namely:—

2. The Chairman and Members of the Authority, Chandigarh shall hold office for a term of three years
from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
3. The Authority, Chandigarh shall exercise such powers and follow such procedures as specified in the
said notification.
4. The Authority, Chandigarh shall take its decision on the recommendations of the State Level Expert
Appraisal Committee (SEAC) constituted under paragraph 5 for the Union territory of Chandigarh.
5. For the purpose of assisting the Authority, Chandigarh, the Central Government in consultation with
the Government of Chandigarh, hereby constitutes the State Level Expert Appraisal Committee (SEAC)
(hereinafter referred to as SEAC, Chandigarh) comprising of the following Members, namely:—

8. The SEAC, Chandigarh shall exercise such powers and follow such procedures as specified in the said
notification.
9. The SEAC, Chandigarh shall function on the principle of collective responsibility and the Chairman
shall endeavor to reach a consensus in each case, and if consensus cannot be reached, the view of the majority
shall prevail.
10. The Government of Chandigarh shall notify an agency to act as Secretariat for the Authority,
Chandigarh and SEAC, Chandigarh and the Secretariat shall provide all financial and logistic support including
accommodation, transportation and such other facilities in respect of all their statutory functions.
11. The sitting fee, travelling allowances and dearness allowances to the Chairman and Members of the
Authority, Chandigarh and SEAC, Chandigarh shall be paid as per the rules of the Government of Chandigarh.
