S.O. 3288(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section 3 of the Environment
(Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) and in pursuance of the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile
Ministry of Environment and Forests, number S.O. 1533(E), dated the 14th September, 2006 (hereinafter referred to as
the said Notification), the Central Government hereby constitutes the State Level Environment Impact Assessment
Authority, Madhya Pradesh (hereinafter referred to as the Authority, Madhya Pradesh) comprising of the following

8. The SEAC, Madhya Pradesh shall function on the principle of collective responsibility and its Chairman shall
endeavor to reach a consensus in each case, and if consensus cannot be reached, the view of the majority shall prevail.
9. The Government of Madhya Pradesh shall notify an agency to act as Secretariat for the Authority, Madhya
Pradesh and the SEAC, Madhya Pradesh and the Secretariat shall provide all financial and logistic support including
accommodation, transportation and such other facilities in respect of all statutory functions of the Authority, Madhya
Pradesh and the SEAC, Madhya Pradesh.
10. The sitting fee, travelling allowances and dearness allowances to the Chairman and Members of the Authority,
Madhya Pradesh and the SEAC, Madhya Pradesh shall be paid as per the rules of the State Government of Madhya
Pradesh.
