NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 16th May, 2017
S.O. 1577(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 4 of the Tea Act,
1953 (29 of 1953) read with rules 4 and 5 of the Tea Rules, 1954, the Central Government hereby appoints the
Deputy Chairman, Tea Board as member of the Tea Board with effect from the date of publication of this
notification in the Official Gazette upto the 1st day of November, 2018 and makes the following further
amendments in the notification of the Government of India, in the erstwhile Ministry of Commerce and
Industry (Tea Control), number S.R.O. 944 dated the 17th March, 1954, namely:-
In the said notification, after serial number 31, the following serial number and entries relating
thereto, shall be inserted, namely:-
“32. Deputy Chairman, Tea Board, Kolkata Ex-Officio appointed under clause (aa) of sub-rule
Member (1) of rule 4.”.
