NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 8th March, 2019
S. O. 1172(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 4 of the Tea
Act, 1953 (29 of 1953) read with rules 4 and 5 of the Tea Rules, 1954, the Central Government
hereby appoints the following person as Chairman of the Tea Board with effect from the date of
publication of this notification upto the 10th day of February, 2022, and for that purpose makes the
following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India, in the erstwhile
Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Tea Control) number S.R.O. 944, dated the 17th March, 1954,
namely:-
In the said notification, for serial number 1 and entries relating thereto, the following serial
number and entries shall be substituted, namely:-
“1. Shri Prabhat Kamal Bezboruah, Chairman appointed under sub-rule (1) of
Flat 41, 17 Lower Range, rule 4.”.
