NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 11th October, 2018
G.S.R 1026(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (5) of section 5 read with
Section 31 of the Oil Industry (Development) Act 1974 (47 of 1974), the Central Government hereby makes the
following rules further to amend the Oil Industry Development Board Employees’ (Death-cum-Retirement)
Gratuity Rules, 1983, namely:-
1. (1) These rules may be called the Oil Industry Development Board
Employees’ (Death-cum-Retirement) Gratuity (Amendment) Rules, 2018.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official
Gazette.
2. In the Oil Industry Development Board Employees’ (Death-cum-Retirement) Gratuity Rules, 1983, in
rule 5, –
(a) in sub-rule (1), for the words “rupees ten lakh”, the words “such amount as may be notified by the
Central Government from time to time’’ shall be substituted;
(b) in sub-rule (2), in the Table, against item (iv), under the heading ‘‘Rate of Gratuity’’, for the
words ‘‘rupees ten lakh’’, the words ‘‘such amount as may be notified by the Central Government
from time to time’’ shall be substituted.
