New Delhi, the 18th September, 2017
S.O. 3075(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (7A) of section 2 of the Railways
Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of
Railways (Railway Board) vide number S.O. 53(E), dated the 12th January, 2011, published in the Gazette of
India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 13th January, 2011, except as respects things
done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby authorizes the officer
mentioned in column (2) of the Table below as competent authority to perform the functions as such authority
under the said Act with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette with
respect to land acquisition for the Special Railway Project of Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor in the State
of West Bengal relating to the districts mentioned in column (3) of the said Table for the public purpose.
