NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 16th February, 2017
S.O. 566 (E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section(1) of section 162 of the Electricity Act, 2003
(36 of 2003) read with Qualifications, Powers and Functions for Chief Electrical Inspector and Electrical Inspectors
Rules, 2006 notified on 17.8.2006 and as amended on 16.05.2016, the Central Government hereby appoints
Sh. A. K. Singh, Executive Director (Electrical), DMRC as Chief Electrical Inspector for Noida-Greater Noida Metro
Rail Project, from the date of this Notification till his tenure in Noida-Greater Noida Metro Rail Project, subject to
fulfillment of the qualification and Condition mentioned in the above Rule.
The above mentioned officer shall exercise the powers and perform his functions in respect of electrical works, electrical
installations and electrical rolling stock in operation within the areas occupied by the Noida-Greater Noida Metro Rail
Project or in respect of works and all electrical installations under the control of Noida-Greater Noida Metro Rail Project
/belonging to Noida-Greater Noida Metro Rail Project as per the procedure provided in Central Electricity Authority
(Measures relating to Safety and Electricity Supply) Regulations, 2010, as amended from time to time.
Noida-Greater Noida Metro Rail Project will ensure that Sh. A. K .Singh will not be the Chief Electrical Inspector in
respect of the work assigned to him as Executive Director (Electrical) in Noida-Greater Noida Metro Rail Project.
The person appointed as Electrical Inspector shall undergo such training as the Central Government may consider
necessary for the purpose and such training shall be completed to the satisfaction of the Government.
