* **Landowners:** Individuals who own land within the specified areas in Fatehgarh Sahib district that are identified for acquisition.
* **Residents:** Individuals residing on or near the land parcels identified for acquisition.
* **The District Revenue Officer, Fatehgarh Sahib:** As the Competent Authority, they are responsible for managing the objection process.
* **Legal Practitioners:** Potentially representing landowners during the objection process.

**8. Expected Outcomes / Impact of Changes:**
* The intended outcome is to facilitate the acquisition of land necessary for the construction and operation of the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor.
* The policy aims to provide a fair and transparent process for landowners to raise objections and be heard before their land is acquired.
* Successful land acquisition will enable the timely completion of the EDFC project, which is expected to improve freight transportation efficiency.
**9. Conclusion:**
The government notification outlines the process for land acquisition for the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor project in Punjab. It establishes a framework for affected landowners to raise objections and ensures due process through the involvement of a Competent Authority. This policy is crucial for enabling the development of vital infrastructure and improving freight transportation across the region.
