G.S.R. 399.(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1A) of section 17A of the Mines and
Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 (67 of 1957), the Central Government, after consultation with the
State Government of Tamil Nadu, hereby reserves the area to the extent of 1144.06.18 hectares for Beach Sand
Minerals (BSM) in district Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu for undertaking prospecting or mining operations through M/s
IREL (India) Limited, a Central Public Sector Undertaking under the administrative control of the Department of
Atomic Energy, Government of India, lying within the boundary (demarcated by latitude and longitude) of such
