(cid:30)ाDत करन ेतक, जो भी पहल ेहो, पद धारण करेगा : परंत ु जहा ं(cid:4)कसी सेवारत अिधकारी को अ.य / के Pप म :िनय(cid:10)ु त (cid:4)कया जाता ह ै वहा ं वह अिधवQषता क= आयु (cid:30)ाDत होन ेतक (cid:30)ितिनयिु ! पर रहगे ा और त(cid:31)प R चात उस ेउ(cid:27) चतम आय ु सीमा और इसम: िविहत अविध के अधीन रहते &ए पुनQनयोजन के िनबंधन# पर पदाविध के िव0 तार के िलए िवचाIरत (cid:4)कया जा सकेगा। (2) कम*चारी चयन आयोग का सद0य पांच वष* के िलए या जब वह 62 वष* क= आयु (cid:30)ाDत करता ह,ै तक जो भी पहले हो, पद धारण करेगा : परंतु यह (cid:4)क जहां सेवारत अिधकारी सद0 य के Pप म: िनयु! होता ह,ै जब तक वह अिधवQषता क= आयु (cid:30)ाD त करता ह,ै वह (cid:30)ितिनयिु ! पर रहगे ा और उसके पRच ात वह उ(cid:27) चतम आय ु सीमा और उसम : िविनJद(cid:15) ट अविध के अधीन रहत े&ए पुनQनयोजन के िनबंधन# पर पदाविध के िव0 तार के िलए या समीचीन ह,ै वहां वह उसके िलए जो कारण ह,A उ8ह : लेखब> करके, तथा ससससघघंंघघंं ललललोोोोकककक ससससववेेववेे ाााा आआआआययययोोोोगगगग सससस ेेेे पपपपररररााााममममशशशश ---- ककककररररककककेेेे इन िनयम# के Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions ( Department of Personnel and Training ) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 18th October, 2018 G.S.R. 1043(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution and in supersession of the Staff Selection Commission (Chairman and Members) Recruitment Rules, 2007 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the President hereby makes the following rules regulating the method of recruitment to the posts of Chairman and Member in the Staff Selection Commission, namely:- 1. Short title and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Staff Selection Commission (Chairman and Members) Recruitment Rules, 2018. (2) They shall be deemed to have come into force on the 12th day of May, 2018. 2. Number of post, classification and level in the pay matrix.—The number of posts, their classification and level in the pay matrix attached thereto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to these rules. 3. Method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications, etc.—The method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications and other matters relating thereto, shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the aforesaid Schedule. 4. Tenure of office of Chairman and Member.—(1) The Chairman of the Staff Selection Commission shall hold office for a period of five years’ or till he attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier: Provided that where a serving officer is appointed as Chairman, he shall be on deputation until he attains the age of superannuation and thereafter he may be considered for extension of tenure on re-employment terms subject to upper age limit and tenure prescribed herein.¹Hkkx IIµ[k.M 3(i)º Hkkjr dk jkti=k % vlk/kj.k 5 (2) The Member of the Staff Selection Commission shall hold office for a period of five years’ or till he attains the age of 62 years, whichever is earlier: Provided that where a serving officer is appointed as Member, he shall be on deputation until he attains the age of superannuation and thereafter he may be considered for extension of tenure on re-employment terms subject to upper age limit and tenure prescribed herein. 5. Disqualification.—No person,— (a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or (b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, shall be eligible for appointment to the said posts: Provided that the Central Government may, if satisfied, that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this rule. 6. Power to relax.—Where the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient to do so, it may, by order and for reasons to be recorded in writing, and in consultation with the Union Public Service Commission relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons. 7. Saving.—Nothing in these rules shall affect reservation, relaxation of age limit and other concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, ex-servicemen and other special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time to time in this regard.
