(2) ये राजप(cid:7074) म(cid:7286) उनके (cid:7079)काशन की तारीख को (cid:7079)वृ(cid:7275) ह(cid:7298)गे ।

सकेगी ।
5. िशिथल करन ेकी शि(cid:7334) : जहां क(cid:7286)(cid:7076)ीय सरकार की यह राय ह (cid:7289)िक ऐसा करना आवश्यक या समीचीन ह,ै वहां वह उसके
िलए जो कारण ह (cid:7289)उन्ह (cid:7286)लेखब(cid:7373) करके तथा संघ लोक सेवा आयोग से परामशर् करके, इन िनयम(cid:7298) के िकसी उपबंध को िकसी वगर्
या (cid:7079)वगर् के (cid:7390)ि(cid:7334)य(cid:7298) की बाबत, आदशे (cid:7367)ारा िशिथल कर सकेगी ।
6. (cid:7390)ाविृ (cid:7275) : इन िनयम(cid:7298) की कोई बात, ऐसे आरक्षण, आयु-सीमा म(cid:7286) छूट और अन्य िरयायत(cid:7298) पर (cid:7079)भाव नह(cid:7277) डालेगी,
िजनका के(cid:7076)ीय सरकार (cid:7367)ारा इस संबंध म(cid:7286) समय-समय पर िनकाले गए आदशे (cid:7298) के अनुसार अनुसूिचत जाितय(cid:7298), अनुसूिचत

New Delhi, the 30th May, 2017
G.S.R. 539(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution and in
supersession of the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, Central Economic Intelligence Bureau ,Special
Secretary-cum- Director General, Group ‘A’ Post Recruitment Rules, 2015, except as respects things done or omitted to be
done before such supersession ,the President hereby makes the following rules regulating the method of recruitment to the
post of Director General of the Central Economic Intelligence Bureau in the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance,
namely:—
1. Short title and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Finance, Department of
Revenue, Central Economic Intelligence Bureau, Director General, Group ‘A’ Post Recruitment Rules, 2017.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Number of post, classification, Level in Pay Matrix.—(I) The number of said post, its classification and the
Level in the Pay Matrix attached thereto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to these rules.
(2) This post shall not form part of the cadre of any organised service under the Central Government.
3. Method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications, etc.—The method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications
and other matters relating to the said post shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the aforesaid Schedule.
4. Disqualification.—No person,—
(a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or
(b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, shall be eligible
for appointment to the said post:
Provided that if the Central Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law
applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any
person from the operation of this rule.
5. Power to relax.—Where the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it
may, by order and for reasons to be recorded in writing and in consultation with Union Public Service Commission, relax
any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons.
6. Saving.—Nothing in these rules shall affect reservation, relaxation of age limit and other concessions required to
be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Schedules Tribes, the Other Backward Classes and other special categories of
