G.S.R. 274(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the
President hereby makes the following rules to amend the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, Central Bureau of
Narcotics (Group ‘C’ posts) Recruitment Rules, 2015, namely:-
1. (1) These rules shall be called the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, Central Bureau of Narcotics
(Group ‘C’ posts) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2017.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.¹Hkkx IIμ[k.M 3 (i)º Hkkjr dk jkti=k % vlk/kj.k 3
2. In the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, Central Bureau of Narcotics (Group ‘C’ posts) Recruitment
Rules, 2015 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), for rule 2, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:-
“2. Number of posts, classification and level in pay matrix. – The number of said posts, their classification and
level in the pay matrix attached thereto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to
these rules.”.
3. In the Schedule to the said rules, -
(a) in column (4), for the column heading, the column heading “Level in pay matrix” shall be substituted;
(b) against serial number 1 relating to the post of Sub-Inspector, in column (4), for the entries, the entries “Level – 4 in
the pay matrix (Rs.25,500-81,100)” shall be substituted;
(c) against serial number 2 relating to the post of Stenographer Grade- II, in column (4), for the entries, the entries
“Level–4 in the pay matrix (Rs.25,500-81,100)” shall be substituted;
(d) against serial number 3 relating to the post of Dog Handler-cum-Assistant Sub-Inspector, -
(i) in column (4), for the entries, the entries “Level–2 in the pay matrix (Rs. 19,900-63,200)” shall be
substituted;
(ii) in column (11), for the entries, the entries “Promotion from amongst Havaldar and Multi Tasking Staff
Group C in Level-1 in the pay matrix (Rs. 18,000-56,900) having an aptitude for handling animals with
three years regular service.” shall be substituted;
(e) against serial number 4 relating to the post of Upper Division Clerk, -
(i) in column (4), for the entries, the entries “Level–4 in the pay matrix (Rs.25,500-81,100)” shall be
substituted;
(ii) in column (11), for item (i), the following item shall be substituted, namely:-
“(i) LDC in Level-2 in the pay matrix (Rs.19,900-63,200) with eight years of regular service in the
grade.”;
(f) against serial number 5 relating to the post of Lower Division Clerk, -
(i) in column (2), for the figures and brackets “139* (2015)”, the figures and brackets “143* (2017)” shall be
substituted;
(ii) in column (4), for the entries, the entries “Level–2 in the pay matrix (Rs. 19,900-63,200)” shall be
substituted;
(iii) in column (11), -
(A) in clause (i), for the words, letters and figures “in the Grade pay of Rs. 1800/-”, the words,
figures, brackets and letters “in Level-1 in the pay matrix (Rs. 18,000-56,900)” shall be
substituted;
(B) in clause (ii), for the words, letters and figures “with the grade pay of Rs. 1800/-”, the words,
figures, brackets and letters “in Level-1 in the pay matrix (Rs.18,000-56,900)” shall be
substituted;
(g) against serial number 6 relating to the post of Havaldar, -
(i) in column (4), for the entries, the entries “Level–1 in the pay matrix (Rs. 18,000-56,900)” shall be
substituted;
(ii) in column (6), for the words and figures “Between 18-25 years”, the words and figures “Between 18 and
27 years” shall be substituted.
