अनुवादक (समूह-ख, अराजपि(cid:7074)त, अनुसिचवीय पद), भत(cid:7278) (सशं ोधन) िनयम, 2017 ह।ै
(2) ये राजप(cid:7074) म (cid:7286)अपने (cid:7079)काशन क(cid:7409) तारीख को (cid:7079)वतृ ह(cid:7298)गे।
2. राज(cid:7021)व िवभाग, क(cid:7286)(cid:7076)ीय उ(cid:7004)पाद-शु(cid:7016)क और सीमा-शु(cid:7016)क बोड,(cid:6981) (cid:6996)ये(cid:7399) अनुवादक और किन(cid:7399) अनुवादक (समूह-ख,
अराजपि(cid:7074)त, अनसु िचवीय पद), भत(cid:7278) िनयम, 2015 (िजसे इसके प(cid:7391)ात उ(cid:7334) िनयम कहा गया ह)ै म(cid:7286) िनयम 3 के (cid:7021)थान पर

3. उ(cid:7334) िनयम(cid:7298) क(cid:7409) अनसु ूची म(cid:7286),-

(ख) “(cid:7079)ितिनयुि(cid:7334)” शीष (cid:6981) के अधीन मद (क) क(cid:7409) उप मद (ii) क(cid:7409) (cid:7079)िवि(cid:7397) के (cid:7021)थान पर िन(cid:7388)िलिखत (cid:7079)िवि(cid:7397) रखी

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 31st January, 2017
G.S.R. 74(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the President
hereby makes the following rules to amend the Department of Revenue, Central Board of Excise and Customs, Senior
Translator and Junior Translator (Group ‘B’, Non Gazetted, Non Ministerial Posts) Recruitment Rules, 2015, namely:-
1. (1) These rules shall be called the Department of Revenue, Central Board of Excise and Customs, Senior
Translator and Junior Translator (Group ‘B’, Non-Gazetted, Non Ministerial Posts) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules,
2017.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Department of Revenue, Central Board of Excise and Customs, Senior Translator and Junior Translator
(Group ‘B’, Non Gazetted, Non Ministerial Posts) Recruitment Rules, 2015 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), for
rule 3, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:-
“3. Number of posts, classification and level in pay matrix. – The number of said posts, their classification and
level in the pay matrix attached thereto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to
these rules.”.
3. In the Schedule to the said rules, -
(a) in column (4), for the column heading, the following column heading shall be substituted, namely:- “Level in
pay matrix”;¹Hkkx IIµ[k.M 3(i)º Hkkjr dk jkti=k % vlk/kj.k 3
(b) against serial number (1) relating to the post of Senior Translator,-
(i) in column (4), for the entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:- “Level – 7 in the pay matrix
(Rs. 44,900 – 1,42,400)”;
(ii) in column (11),-
(A) under the heading “Promotion”, for the portion beginning with “Junior Translator in Pay Band-2” and
ending with “National Academy of Customs, Excise and Narcotics”, the following shall be substituted, namely:
- “Junior Translators in level – 6 in the pay matrix (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400) with five years regular service in the
grade and successfully completed the training of two weeks in the National Academy of Customs, Excise and
Narcotics.”;
(B) under the heading “Deputation”, in sub-item (ii) of item (A), for the entry, the following entry shall be
substituted, namely:- “with five years regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a
regular basis in posts in level – 6 in the pay matrix (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400) or equivalent in the parent cadre or
Department.”;
(c) against serial number (2) relating to the post of Junior Translator, in column (4), for the entry, the following
entry shall be substituted, namely:- “Level – 6 in the pay matrix (Rs.35,400 – 1,12,400).”.
