G.S.R. 952(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the
President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Ministry of Urban Development (Assistant Library and
Information Officer) Recruitment Rules, 2010 namely:—
1. Short title and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Urban Development (Assistant
Library and Information Officer) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2016:-
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Ministry of Urban Development (Assistant Library and Information Officer) Recruitment Rules, 2010:-
(A) In Rule 2, For word Pay Band and Grade Pay/Pay Scale, following shall be substituted:
“Level in the Pay Matrix”
(B) For Column No. 4 of the Schedule, following shall be substituted, namely:
LEVEL in the PAY MATRIX

LEVEL 7
(C) For Column No.12 of the Schedule, the following shall be substituted:
(a)(ii) Five years service in the grade rendered after appointed thereto on a regular basis in posts in “LEVEL 6
in the Pay Matrix” or equivalent in the parent cadre/department; and
(D) For Column No. 12 of the Schedule in NOTE: For the purpose of appointment on deputation basis, the service
rendered on a regular basis by an officer prior to 1.1.2016 (date from which the revised pay structure based on the
7th CPC recommendation has been extended) shall be deemed to be service rendered in the corresponding Level in Pay
Matrix extended based on the recommendations of the pay commission except where there has been merger of more than
one pre-revised Grade Pay into one Level in Pay Matrix, and where this benefit will extend only for the post(s) for which
that Level in Pay Matrix is the normal replacement without any upgradation.
