(1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Urban Development (Central Public Health and Environmental Engineering Organisation) Recruitment Amendment Rules, 2017. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Ministry of Urban Development (Central Public Health and Environmental Engineering Organisation) Recruitment Rules, 2012, — (1) for rule 2, the following rule shall be substituted, namely: — “2. Number of posts, classification and level in the pay matrix.—The number of the posts, their classification and the level in the pay matrix attached thereto shall be specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to these rules.”; (2) in the Schedule, — (a) against serial number 1 relating to the post of Adviser (Public Health and Environmental Engineering),- (i) in column (4), for the heading and the entries relating thereto, the following heading and entries shall be substituted, namely: — “Level in the pay matrix (4) Level-14.”; (ii) in column (11), — (A) in the entries under heading “Promotion”, for the words and figures “Pay Band-4, Rs. 37400- 67000) + Grade Pay Rs. 8700/”, the words, figures and letter “level 13 in the pay matrix” shall be substituted; (B) in the entries under heading “Deputation (including short-term contract)” in item (A), — (I) in sub-item (ii), for the words and figures “PB-4, Rs. 37400-67000) + Grade Pay Rs. 8700/”, the words, figures and letter “level 13A in the pay matrix” shall be substituted; (II) in sub-item (iii), for the words and figures “PB-4, Rs. 37400-67000) + Grade Pay Rs. 8700/” , the words, figures and letter “level 13 in the pay matrix” shall be substituted; (b) against serial number 2 relating to the post of Joint Adviser (Public Health and Environmental Engineering), — (i) in column (4), for the existing heading and the entries relating thereto, the following heading and entries shall be substituted, namely: — “Level in the pay matrix” (4) Level-13.”,II (i) 5 (ii) in column (11), — (A) in the entries under heading “Promotion”, — (I) for the words and figures “Pay Band-3 Rs. 15600-39100 with grade pay Rs. 7600/”at both the places, the words, figures and letter “level 12 in the pay matrix” shall be substituted; (II) for the words and figures “PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100 with grade pay Rs. 6600/”, the words, figures and letter “level 11 in the pay matrix” shall be substituted; (B) in the entries under heading “Deputation (including short-term contract)’, in item (A), — (I) in sub-item (ii), for the words and figures “PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100+ Grade pay Rs. 7600/”, the words, figures and letter “level 12 in the pay matrix” shall be substituted; (II) in sub-item (iii), for the words and figures “PB-3 Rs. 15600-39100 with grade pay Rs. 6600/”, the words, figures and letter “level 11 in the pay matrix” shall be substituted; (c ) against serial number 3 relating to the post of Deputy Adviser (Public Health Engineering),— (i) in column (4), for the existing heading and the entries relating thereto, the following heading and entries shall be substituted, namely: — “Level in the pay matrix (4) Level-12.”; (ii) in column (11), — (A) in the entries under heading “Promotion”, for the words and figures “pay band-3 Rs. 15600-39100+ Grade Pay Rs. 6600/”, the words, figures and letter “level 11 in the pay matrix” shall be substituted; (B) in the entries under heading “Deputation (including short-term contract)’, in item (A), in sub-item (ii), for the words and figures “pay band-3, Rs. 15600-39100+ grade pay Rs. 6600/”, the words, figures and letter “level 11 in the pay matrix” shall be substituted; (d) against serial number 4 relating to the post of Assistant Adviser (Public Health Engineering),— (i) in column (4), for the existing heading and the entries relating thereto, the following heading and entries shall be substituted, namely:— “Level in the pay matrix (4) Level-11.”; (ii) in column (ii), — (A) in the entries under heading “Promotion”, — (I) for the words and figures “pay band-3 Rs15600-39100+ Grade pay Rs. 5400/”, the words, figures and letter “level 10 in the pay matrix” shall be substituted; (ii)Note 2 shall be omitted; (B) in the entries under heading “Deputation (including short- term contract)”, — (I) in item (A), in sub-item (ii), for the words and figures “pay band-3 Rs. 15600-39100+ grade pay Rs. 5400/”, the words, figures and letter “level 10 in the pay matrix” shall be substituted; (II) the Note shall be omitted;6 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)] (e) against serial number 5 relating to the post of Technical Officer (PHE), in column (4), for the existing heading and the entries relating thereto, the following heading and entries shall be substituted, namely: — “Level in the pay matrix (4) Level-10.”.
