No. 18-15/14948-INC.—In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 14 of Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 (XLVIII of 1947), the Indian Nursing Council hereby issues the following order:— Whereas, Shushruti College of Nursing situated at No. 68, Shushruti Nagar, Andrahalli Main Road, Peenya II Stage, District Bangalore – 560091, Karnataka is recognized by State Government of Karnataka and Karnataka Nursing Council to conduct Post Basic B.Sc(N) course. Whereas, a notice no. 18-15/14948-INC dated 05/08/2022 for withdrawal of Recognition under section 14 of Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 addressed to Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Room No. 105, 01st Floor, Vikas Souda, Bangalore – 560001, Karnataka was issued. Copy of the notice dated 05/08/2022 was also enclosed to Shushruti College of Nursing situated at No. 68, Shushruti Nagar, Andrahalli Main Road, Peenya II Stage, District Bangalore – 560091, Karnataka. In the notice issued, the State Government was requested to submit their recommendations to the Council as respects Suitability of the nursing institution. Whereas, the Council has not received any recommendation from the State Government as respects the case of Shushruti College of Nursing. Even the institution Shushruti College of Nursing has not responded to the notices issued. Whereas, the Council has considered the matter in its entirety. Perusal of the inspection report dated 30/12/2021 would show that the institution is deficient in many respects especially those relating to deficiencies i.e., clinical and teaching facilities. Now therefore, the Council exercising powers under section 14(3)(b) declares that with effect from 16/11/2022 any person holding a recognized qualification of Post Basic B.Sc(N) from Shushruti College of Nursing situated at No. 68, Shushruti Nagar, Andrahalli Main Road, Peenya II Stage, District Bangalore – 560091, Karnataka shall be entitled to be registered only in the State of Karnataka subject to the orders of State government of Karnataka.
