No. 18-24/4742-INC.—In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 14 of Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 (XLVIII of 1947), the Indian Nursing Council hereby issues the following order:— Whereas, Kuntala Devi School of Nursing situated at Po- Debatra Colony, Samanta Marg, Nayagarh, Distt. Nayagarh 752069 Odisha is recognized by State Government of Odisha and Odisha Nurses & Midwives Council to conduct GNM Course. Whereas, a notice no. 18-24/4742-INC (58398) dated 15/05/2024 for withdrawal of Recognition under section 14 of Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 addressed to the principal secretary (Health & FW), Government of Odisha, Secretariat Building, Bhubaneswar – 75100, Odisha was issued. Copy of the notice dated 15/05/2024 was also enclosed to Kuntala Devi School of Nursing situated at Po- Debatra Colony, Samanta Marg, Nayagarh, Distt. Nayagarh 752069 Odisha. In the notice issued, the State Government was requested to submit their recommendations to the Council as respects Suitability of the nursing institution. Whereas, the Council has not received any recommendation from the State Government as respects the case of Kuntala Devi School of Nursing. Even the institution, Kuntala Devi School of Nursing has not responded to the notices issued. Whereas, the Council has considered the matter in its entirety. These are serious deficiencies which constitute that the institution is unable to run GNM Course. Now therefore, the Council exercising powers under section 14(3) (b) declares that with effect from 26/10/2024 any person holding a recognized qualification of GNM from Kuntala Devi School of Nursing situated at Po- Debatra Colony, Samanta Marg, Nayagarh, Distt. Nayagarh 752069 Odisha shall be entitled to be registered only in the State of Odisha. Lt. Col (Dr) SARVJEET KAUR, Secy.
