No. 18-19/7975-INC.—In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 14 of Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 (XLVIII of 1947), the Indian Nursing Council hereby issues the following order:— Whereas Savitribai Phule School/College of Nursing situated at CS 2130, E Ward, Tarabai Park, Distt. Kolhapur 416003, Maharashtra is recognized by State Government of Maharashtra and Maharashtra Nursing Council to conduct ANM and B.Sc(N) Course. Whereas, a notice no. 18-19/7975-INC dated 15/11//2022 for withdrawal of Recognition under section 14 of Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 addressed to the Principal Secretary (Public Health Department), Government of Maharashtra, 10th Floor, B Wing G T Hospital Complex Building, Mumbai – 400001, Maharashtra was issued. Copy of the notice dated 15/11/2022 was also enclosed to Savitribai Phule School/College of Nursing situated at CS 2130, E Ward, Tarabai Park, Distt. Kolhapur 416003, Maharashtra. In the notice issued, the State Government was requested to submit their recommendations to the Council as respects Suitability of the nursing institution. Whereas, the Council has not received any recommendation from the State Government as respects the case of Savitribai Phule School/College of Nursing. Even the institution Savitribai Phule School/College of Nursing has not responded to the notices issued. Whereas, the Council has considered the matter in its entirety. Perusal of the inspection report dated 01/04/2022 would show that the institution is deficient in many respects especially those relating to deficiencies i.e., clinical and teaching facilities. Now therefore, the Council exercising powers under section 14(3)(b) of Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 declares that with effect from 23/02/2023 any person holding a recognized qualification of ANM and B.Sc(N) Savitribai Phule School/College of Nursing situated at CS 2130, E Ward, Tarabai Park, Distt.
