No. 18-29/14539-INC.— In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 14 of Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 (XLVIII of 1947), the Indian Nursing Council hereby issues the following order:— Whereas, Subbasakthi Institute of Paramedical Sciences situated at Sathiyamangalam, Kulthali, Distt. Karur – 639120, Tamilnadu is recognized by State Government of Tamilnadu and Tamilnadu Nurses & Midwives Council to conduct ANM Course. Whereas, a notice no. 18-29/14539-INC dated 04/05/2022 for withdrawal of Recognition under section 14 of Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 addressed to Secretary (H&FW), Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Tamilnadu, 04th Floor, Fort. St. George, Secretariat, Chennai – 600009, Tamilnadu was issued. Copy of the notice dated 04/05/2022 was also enclosed to Subbasakthi Institute of Paramedical Sciences situated at Sathiyamangalam, Kulthali, Distt. Karur – 639120, Tamilnadu. In the notice issued, the State Government was requested to submit their recommendations to the Council as respects Suitability of the nursing institution. Whereas, the Council has not received any recommendation from the State Government as respects the case of Subbasakthi Institute of Paramedical Sciences. Even no action, as required, has been taken by the institution. Whereas, the Council has considered the matter in its entirety. Perusal of the inspection report dated 05/07/2021 would show that the institution is deficient in many respects especially those relating to deficiencies i.e., clinical and teaching facilities. These are serious deficiencies which constitute that the institution is unable to run ANM Course. Now therefore, the Council exercising powers under section 14(3)(b) of Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 declares that with effect from 08/09/2022 any person holding a recognized qualification of ANM from Subbasakthi Institute of Paramedical Sciences situated at Sathiyamangalam, Kulthali, Distt. Karur – 639120, Tamilnadu shall be entitled to be registered only in the State of Tamilnadu subject to the orders of State government of Tamilnadu. Lt. Col (Dr) SARVJEET KAUR, Secy.
