Whereas, a notice no. 18-15/2360-INC dated 19/09/2022 for withdrawal of Recognition under section 14 of Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 addressed to Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Room No. 105, 01st Floor, Vikas Souda, Bangalore – 560001, Karnataka was issued. Copy of the notice dated 19/09/2022 was also enclosed to Ambigara Chowdaiah College of Nursing situated at No. 18/2, Chokkanahalli, Jakkur Post, Hegdenagar, Yelahanka Hobli, Bangalore – 560064, Karnataka. In the notice issued, the State Government was requested to submit their recommendations to the Council as respects Suitability of the nursing institution. Whereas, the Council has not received any recommendation from the State Government as respects the case of Ambigara Chowdaiah College of Nursing. Even the institution Ambigara Chowdaiah College of Nursing has not responded to the notices issued. Whereas, the Council has considered the matter in its entirety. Perusal of the inspection report dated 15/02/2022 would show that the institution is deficient in many respects especially those relating to deficiencies i.e., clinical and teaching facilities. Now therefore, the Council exercising powers under section 14(3)(b) declares that with effect from 23/02/2023 any person holding a recognized qualification of B.Sc(N) from Ambigara Chowdaiah College of Nursing situated at No. 18/2, Chokkanahalli, Jakkur Post, Hegdenagar, Yelahanka Hobli, Bangalore – 560064, Karnataka shall be entitled to be registered only in the State of Karnataka subject to the orders of State government of Karnataka.
