Mangaluru, the 25th June, 2018

S.O. 3753(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred upon me, under Section 8 (b) of the Customs
Act,1962, I, Dr. M. Subramanyam, Commissioner of Customs, Mangaluru, in supersession of the Notification
No. 2/74 dated 21.09.1974, issued by the Collector of Customs, Bangalore and Notifications No. 02/2005
dated 03.02.2005, No. 01/2007 dated 13.02.2007 and No. 21/2007 dated 12.10.2007, issued by the
Commissioner of Customs, Mangaluru, hereby specify the following premises of the Major Port of
Mangaluru, situated in a place called as Panambur as the Customs Area.
The area inside the boundaries specified below comprising a land area measuring 899.93 Acres +
13.18 Acres, in total 913.11 Acres, including the berths from Nos. 01 to 16 and the lagoon.
The boundaries of the Customs Area of New Mangalore Port are as follows:—
NORTH SIDE : A security compound wall of the New Mangalore Port having K.K. Gate running
inside along the Bituminous road, connecting the NH 66 and the Panambur Beach,
commonly known as Koorikatta Gate (K.K. Gate) Beach Road.
SOUTH SIDE : A security compound wall of K.I.O.C.L Plant continued by the Security
Compound wall of the New Mangalore Port having Silver Jubilee Gate (S.J.
Gate). Kulur – Thannirbhavi Concrete Road is running outside the security wall
and IOCL Tank Farm is also situated adjacent to the Compound Wall on the
outside. Also, Gurupura River is flowing adjacent to the concrete road.
EAST SIDE : A security compound wall of the New Mangalore Port having U.S. Mallya Gate
running inside along the National Highway – 66.
WEST SIDE: A security compound wall of the New Mangalore Port running parallel to the
Arabian Sea. A watch tower situated on the South end including a water bound
Macadam road running parallel outside the security compound wall connecting the
old approach road from Panambur Beach road near Coast Guard office.
