No. 3-24/Admn/Estt./Amend/RRs/2011/Vol.I.—In partial modification of the Recruitment Regulation notified by the Council vide Notification F.No.37-3/Legal(iii)/2007 dated 1st November 2007 and in exercise of power conferred by Sub-sections (1) and (2) of Section 23 read with Sub-section (1) & (2) of Section 8 of the All India Council for Technical Education Act, 1987 (52 of 1987). The All India Council for Technical Education hereby makes the following amendment to these Regulations. These Regulations may be called the All India Council for Technical Education (Group “A’’ “B’’ and “C’’ Post) (4th Amendment) Recruitment Regulations, 2018. These will come in force from the dated its publication in the Official Gazette. Column 1-14 of the table for the post of Director in the existing Recruitment Regulations will read as under: S. Deputation: (a) (i) Officers from the Central or State Governments or Universities or Autonomous Bodies or PSUs holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or (ii) with four years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the scale of Rs.12000-16500 (The candidates working in Academic4 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART III—SEC. 4] Institutions in teaching cadre having pay scales and grade pay through Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) are considered eligible, if they fulfil all other eligibility conditions) in the parent cadre/ department; and (b) possessing the following educational qualifications and experience: Qualifications: (i) Master Degree in any of the subjects of Science or Mathematics or Computer application or Management including Behavioural Science, Commerce and Business Economics or Economics or Pharmacy or Engineering and Technology or Architecture and Town Planning from a recognized University or equivalent; Experience: (ii)Twelve years experience in teaching or research, Educational Planning or Administration, Training etc. in Central or State Government University or other Institutions of higher education or Autonomous Bodies or PSUs. Note 1: Preference will be given to the persons with Doctorate Degree and /or published research work with evidence of writing technical reports. *Note 2: The posts of Deputy Secretary have not been assessed by the Staff Inspection Unit(SIU). However, incumbents are working on regular basis on these posts. As such, they are included in the channel of promotion. the existing three pots of Deputy Secretary are redesignated as Deputy Director and merged with the posts of Deputy Director.
