New Delhi, the 4th July, 2017
S.O. 2199(E).— In partial modification of the Scheme for Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid &)
Electric Vehicles in India [FAME India Scheme] which was notified vide S.O. 830(E) dated the 13th March 2015, the
following amendments are made with immediate effect:—
(1) Sub-clause (cc) is inserted under Clause 24 (Page No. 25 of the Scheme) as under :
Clause 24(cc): Electric Three Wheeler (with maximum speed not exceeding 25 KM /Hour)
(2) Sub-clause (j) in inserted under Clause 30 (Page No. 26 of the Scheme) as under :
Clause 30(j): be certified and type approved as per AIS 049 in case of L5 Category Electric Three
Wheeler (with maximum speed not exceeding 25 KM/Hour)
(3) Under Annexure 13 (Page No. 38 of the Scheme), a new Table 2(a) is inserted for the demand incentives for
low speed three wheelers, as detailed below :
