Specifically, IS 9873 Part 1: 2019 (ISO 81241:2018), concerning the safety of toys, Part 1, Safety Aspects Related to Mechanical and Physical Properties (Fourth Revision), was established on June 3, 2019. This new standard supersedes and cancels IS 9873 Part 1: 2017 (ISO 81241:2014) Safety of Toys Part 1 Safety Aspects Related to Mechanical and Physical Properties (Third Revision), effective July 2, 2019. on the date indicated against it in third column. The particulars of the standards, if any, which are
given in the fourth column shall also remain in force concurrently till they are cancelled on the date
indicated against them in the fifth column.
