S.O. 1127(E).—In pursuance of sub-rule (1) of rule 4A of the Forest (Conservation) Rules, 2003
(hereinafter referred to as the said rules), the Central Government hereby re-constitutes the Regional
Empowered Committee at Regional Office, Western Zone, Bhopal (hereinafter referred to as the Regional
Empowered Committee) to exercise the powers and perform the functions specified therein, comprising of the

2. The officers mentioned below of the States specified hereunder, shall be invited to attend meetings of the
Regional Empowered Committee as special invitees, in the examination of the proposals pertaining to
diversion of forest land in their respective States, namely:-

(i) Nodal Officer, the Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980, Government of Madhya Pradesh;
(ii) Secretary, Revenue Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh;
(B) Government of Gujarat:

3. The terms of appointment of non-official members shall be as specified in rule 4 of the said rules. The
tenure of the non-official members of the Regional Empowered Committee is with effect from the date of
expiry of earlier notification published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3,
Sub-section (ii), vide number S.O. 931(E), dated the 21st March, 2017. Shri R.D. Kamboj, who is retiring on 31st
March, 2019 and would become non-official member with effect from 01st April, 2019.
