This notification, issued by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Department of Consumer Affairs, on July 28, 2025, announces the establishment of a new Indian Standard, IS 8980: 2025, effective July 24, 2025. This standard specifies requirements for General Purpose Push-Pull Single-Pole Circuit Breakers for Aircraft. IS 8980: 2025 is a First Revision of IS 8980: 1978. ISO 1467: 2024 will remain in force concurrently until withdrawn on January 24, 2026.
