NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27th April, 2018
S.O. 1788(E).—In pursuance of the provisions of sub-sections (3) and (5) of section 5 read with sub-
sections (1) and (7) of section 6 of the Press Council Act, 1978 (37 of 1978), the Central Government hereby
makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Information
and Broadcasting, published in the Gazette of India, Extra ordinary, Part II, section 3, sub-section (ii), vide
number S.O.1194(E) dated the 16th March, 2018, namely:—
In the said notification, for the opening paragraph, the following paragraph shall be substituted,
namely:—
“In pursuance of sub-section (5) of section 5 of the Press Council Act, 1978 (37 of 1978), read with
clause (d) and (e) of sub-section (3) of section 5 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
notifies the names of the following persons nominated as members to the Press Council of India for a
period of three years, except in the case of Dr. K. Sreenivasarao, Secretary, Sahitya Akademi at
serial number 3 whose membership will end on the 14th March, 2020, from the date of publication
of this notification in the Official Gazette, namely:-”.
