RESOLUTION
New Delhi, the 10th June, 2016
No. 44011/2(s)/2013-Estt.(B).—In Resolution No. 27(21)-EO/86(ACC) dated 3rd March, 1987 constituting
the Public Enterprises Selection Board(PESB),-
(i) In Para 4.1, the sub-paras (a), (b), (c) and (d) shall be substituted by the following sub-paras, namely :-
“4.1 Selection - A committee comprising of the following shall recommend a panel of names in order of
preference for appointment to the post of Chairperson and Members to the Public Enterprises Selection Board,
namely:-
(a) Cabinet Secretary
(b) Additional Principal Secretary to Prime Minister
(c) Secretary (Personnel)
(d) Secretary (Finance)
(e) Secretary (Public Enterprises)
(ii) In Para 5.1, the following shall be substituted :-
‘The Chairperson or Members shall hold office for a period of three years from the date of assumption of
charge or until attainment of the age of 65 years or until further orders, whichever is earliest ’.
(iii) Below paragraph 7.2, the following shall be added:-
‘Candidates from State Public Sector Enterprises and the private sector subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria
will also be considered as non internal candidates along with the candidates of other public sector enterprises,
for a period of five years from the date of this Resolution’.
