No. 12-5/2015-VCI.—In the English version of the Veterinary Council of India - Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education- (Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry - Degree Course) Regulations, 2016 Notification F.No. 12-5/2015–VCI dated 8th July, 2016 published in Part III, Section 4 of Gazette of India, Extraordinary No. 286 (E), dated 12th July, 2016, following corrections are made: (i) In the existing provision at Regulation 20 in Part V: COURSE AND COURSE CONTENTS – PROFESSIONAL YEAR-WISE DISTRIBUTION OF COURSES, the words and figures: “Veterinary Biochemistry 2+1=3” appearing under (1) FIRST PROFESSIONAL are deleted. (ii) In the existing provision at Regulation 20 in Part V: COURSE AND COURSE CONTENTS – PROFESSIONAL YEAR-WISE DISTRIBUTION OF COURSES, the word and figures: “Total 14+7 = 21” appearing below the existing entries under (1) FIRST PROFESSIONAL are substituted with the following word and figures: “Total 12+6=18”. (iii) In the existing provision at Regulation 20 in Part V: COURSE AND COURSE CONTENTS – PROFESSIONAL YEAR-WISE DISTRIBUTION OF COURSES, the words and figures: “Veterinary Biochemistry 2+1=3” are added below the existing entries relating to courses under (2) SECOND PROFESSIONAL. (iv) In the existing provision at Regulation 20 in Part V: COURSE AND COURSE CONTENTS – PROFESSIONAL YEAR-WISE DISTRIBUTION OF COURSES, the word and figures: “Total 13+6 = 19” appearing below the existing entries under (2) SECOND PROFESSIONAL are substituted with the following word and figures: “Total 15+7 = 22”. (v) The existing entries at sub-regulation (7) under Regulation 13: Examination and Evaluation in PART IV: VETERINARY CURRICULUM – STRUCTURING AND ORGANIZATION OF COURSE CURRICULUM are replaced by the following: “There shall be four professional examinations- one each after first, second, and third year, and the fourth after one and half year. These professional examinations shall have only the theory components with external system; the practical components shall be dealt with internally.
