No. 13018/10/2017-AIS(I).—In the Rules for the Civil Services Examination, 2018 published in Part I, Section 1 of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary dated 07.02.2018 and 09.02.2018, the Central Government hearby makes the following amendments in Note-I and Note-III of the Rule 6 of the Civil Services Examination Rules, 2018:— Note I : Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes and the Other Backward Classes who are also covered under any other clauses of Rule 6(b) above, viz. those coming under the category of Ex-servicemen, persons domiciled in the State of J & K, (a) blindness and low vision; (b) deaf and hard of hearing; (c) locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy; (d) autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness; (e) multiple disabilities from amongst person under clauses (a) to (d) including deaf- blindness etc. will be eligible for grant of cumulative age-relaxation under both the categories. Note III : The age concession under Rule 6(b)(iv) and (v) will not be admissible to Ex-servicemen and Commissioned Officers including ECOs/SSCOs, who are released on own request. V. K. SINGH, Jt.
