NITI Aayog Inauguration of Viksit Bharat Strategy Room, LBSNAA, Mussoorie and Use Case Challenge Awards under NITI for States Posted On: 09 OCT 2025 6:23PM by PIB Delhi The Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), in collaboration with NITI Aayog under the State Support Mission, today hosted the inauguration of the Viksit Bharat Strategy Room (VBSR) at LBSNAA and the Use Case Challenge Awards under the NITI for States platform. The event was inaugurated by Shri B.V.R. Subrahmanyam, CEO, NITI Aayog, in the presence of Shri Sriram Taranikanti, Director, LBSNAA, along with senior officers from NITI Aayog, faculty members, LBSNAA and District Collectors/Magistrates from Aspirational Districts and Blocks. The Viksit Bharat Strategy Room has been established to serve as a dynamic governance hub for officer trainees. The Strategy Room at LBSNAA is an extension of similar Strategy Room at NITI Aayog. It integrates data from multiple sectors to enable real-time monitoring, planning, and decision support. By embedding this facility within LBSNAA, the initiative aims to expose young officers to the practice of evidence-based policymaking and to foster a culture of data-driven governance. The event celebrated the spirit of innovation through the NITI for States Use Case Challenge Awards, recognising outstanding data-driven governance models from districts. Organised between December 2024 and February 2025, the Challenge invited District Magistrates and Collectors from Aspirational Districts and Blocks to identify key local challenges, analyse them through data and design replicable interventions. The Challenge received 250+ use case submissions across six themes: health and nutrition, education, agriculture and allied services, infrastructure, social development and financial inclusion with skill development. At the ceremony, 18 Districts were felicitated for their winning use cases, which have been documented on the NITI for States portal (https://www.nitiforstates.gov.in/) and showcased within the Strategy Rooms network. These examples demonstrate how data can be harnessed at the grassroots to address diverse challenges, from improving learning outcomes to strengthening service delivery. The twin initiatives of the Strategy Room and the Use Case Challenge are complementary. While the Strategy Room provides the platform for officers to engage with real-time data, the Use Cases bring in field-tested solutions that can inspire replication and scaling. Together, they advance the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 by empowering States and districts with the tools and mindset for evidence-based governance. *** MJPS/SR (Release ID: 2176933)
