Ministry of Finance Income Tax Department Conducts Outreach Programme on International Taxation and Transfer Pricing under PRARAMBH 2026 in Pune Posted On: 21 MAY 2026 12:17PM by PIB Mumbai Pune, 21th May 2026 The Office of the Commissioner of Income Tax (International Taxation & Transfer Pricing), Pune, organised an Outreach Programme under PRARAMBH 2026 — Policy Reform and Responsible Action for Mission Viksit Bharat at Bodhi Tower, Income Tax Office, Pune, to create awareness regarding the changes introduced under the Income-tax Act, 2025 and the Income-tax Rules, 2026 in the field of International Taxation and Transfer Pricing. The programme was organised under the leadership of Shri Mallikarjun Utture, Commissioner of Income Tax (IT&TP), Pune, and under the overall guidance of Shri Mohit Jain, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (IT&TP). The event saw participation from chartered accountants, tax professionals, industry representatives, and officers of the Department. The sessions highlighted important reforms relating to international taxation and transfer pricing, including simplification of provisions, merger and rationalisation of forms, introduction of new forms, and measures aimed at improving ease of compliance. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Mallikarjun Utture stated that the new Income-tax Act, 2025 seeks to simplify tax laws, reduce compliance burden, and provide greater clarity for taxpayers involved in cross-border transactions.
