1. सजं िप्त नाम और प्रारम्भ.- (1) इन जनयमों का संजिप्त नाम जसक्का जनमािण (श्री मुत्तुस्ट्िाजम िीजित की 250 िीं ियंती समारोह के अिसर पर स्ट्मारक जसक्का िारी करना) जनयम, 2026 ह।ै

(2) ये रािपत्र म ें इनके प्रकािन की तारीख को प्रिृत्त होंगे।

2. सिक्के का मल्ू यिग ि — श्री मुत्तुस्ट्िाजम िीजित की 250 िीं ियंती समारोह के अिसर को स्ट्मरणीय बनान े के जलए केंरीय सरकार के प्राजधकार के अधीन िारी दकय े िान े के जलए टकसाल म ें िो सौ पचास रुपय े मूल्य िग ि का सिक्का ढाला िाएगा। 8287 GI/2026 (1)2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)]

3. सिक्के की जिमाए ं और सरं चना — जनयम 2 म ें जिजनर्िष्टि मल्ू य िग ि का जसक्का, जनम्नजलजखत जिमाओं और संरचना के अनुरूप होगा, अथाति ्:- जसक्के का मूल्य िग ि आकृजत और बाह्य व्यास िांतों की संख्या धातु संरचना

4. जडज़ाइन — जसक्के का जडज़ाइन िह होगा, िो इन जनयमों से उपाबद्ध पहली अनुसूची म ेंजिजनर्ििष्ट ह।ै

5. मानक ििन और अनज्ञु ात उपचार — श्री मुत्तुस्ट्िाजम िीजित की 250 िीं ियंती समारोह के अिसर को स्ट्मरणीय बनान े के जलए जनयम 2 में जनर्िष्टि मूल्यिगि के जसक्के का मानक ििन और ऐसे जसक्के को बनाने में अनुज्ञात उपचार िह होगा, िो इन जनयमों स ेउपाबद्ध िसू री अनुसूची में जिजनर्ििष्ट ह।ै पहली अनुसूची (जनयम 4 िेखें) िो सौ पचास रुपय े अग्र भाग:

सिक्के के इस भाग पर मध्य में अिोक स्ट्तम्भ का ससंह स्ट्तम्भ िीर्ि होगा, जिसके नीच े “सत्यमेि ियत”े लेख उत्कीर्णित होगा, उसकी बाईं पररजध पर िेिनागरी जलजप म ें “भारत” िब्ि और िाईं पररजध पर अग्रं ेिी में “INDIA” िब्ि होगा। ससंह स्ट्तम्भ िीर् ि के नीच ेरुपय ेका प्रतीक “₹” और अंतरािष्ट्रीय अंकों में अंदकत मल्ू य “250” भी होगा । पृष्ठ भाग:

NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 30th October, 2026 G.S.R. 959(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (d) and (e) of sub-section (2) of section 24 of the Coinage Act, 2011(11 of 2011), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely:-

1. Short title and commencement.— (1) These rules may be called the Coinage (Issue of Commemorative Coin on the occasion of 250th Janmotsava of Sri Muttusvami Diksita) Rules, 2026.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. Denomination of coin.— The coin of Two Hundred Fifty Rupees denomination shall be coined at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government to commemorate the occasion of 250th Janmotsava of Sri Muttusvami Diksita.

3. Dimension and composition of coin.— The denomination of the coin specified in rule 2 shall conform to the following dimensions and composition, namely: - Denomination Shape and outside diameter Number of serrations Metal composition of coin

(1) (2) (3) (4) Quaternary Alloy Silver - 50 per cent.

Two Hundred Fifty Circular 200 Copper - 40 per cent.

Rupees 44 millimeters Nickel - 05 per cent.

Zinc - 05 per cent.

5. Standard weight and remedy allowed.— The standard weight of the coin of denomination referred in rule 2 to commemorate the occasion of 250th Janmotsava of Sri Muttusvami Diksita and the remedy allowed in making of such coin shall be as specified in the Second Schedule annexed to these rules.

FIRST SCHEDULE [See rule 4] TWO HUNDRED FIFTY RUPEES

OBVERSE:

This face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar at the centre with the legend “सत्यमेव जयते” inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word “भारत” in Devnagari script and on the right periphery with the word “INDIA” in English. It shall also bear the Rupee symbol “₹” and denominational value “250” in the international numerals below the Lion Capitol.

REVERSE:

This face of the coin shall bear the image of ŚRĪ MUTTUSVĀMI DĪKṢITA at the centre of the coin. The inscription “श्री मुत्तुस्वामम दीमित की 250 वी ींजयींती” in Devanagari script shall be inscribed on the upper periphery of the coin and the inscription “250TH JANMOTSAVA OF ŚRĪ MUTTUSVĀMI DĪKṢITA” in English shall be depicted on the lower periphery of the coin. The year “2026” in international numerals shall be inscribed below the image of ŚRĪ MUTTUSVĀMI DĪKṢITA.
