(cid:315)(cid:175)ೇಷ (cid:170)ಾಜ(cid:205) ಪ(cid:294)(cid:206)(cid:144)ೆ ¨Ás U À – 4ಎ , 09 , 2024( , 18 , 1946) . 327 Part – IVA BENGALURU, TUESDAY, 09, JULY, 2024(ASHADHA, 18, SHAKAVARSHA, 1946) No. 327 GOVERNMENT OF KARNATAKA No:FD 1 PES 2024 Karnataka Government Secretariat Vidhana Soudha, Bengaluru, dated:09th July 2024 NOTIFICATION Whereas the draft of the following rules further to amend the Karnataka Excise (Sale of Indian & Foreign Liquors) Rules, 1968, was published as required by sub-section (1) of Section 71 of the Karnataka Excise Act, 1965 (Karnataka Act 21 of 1966) in Notification No: FD 1 PES 2024, dated: 01.06.2024 in Part-IVA of the Karnataka Gazette (Extraordinary) No.249 dated:01.06.2024 inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected within thirty days from the date of its publication in the official Gazette. And, whereas the said Gazette was made available to the public on 01.06.2024. And, whereas no objections and suggestions were received in respect of the said draft by the State Government. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 71 of the Karnataka Excise Act, 1965 (Karnataka Act 21 of 1966), the Government of Karnataka hereby makes the following rules, namely:- RULES 1. Title and commencement: - (1) These Rules may be called the Karnataka Excise (Sale of Indian & Foreign Liquors) (Amendment) Rules, 2024. (2) They shall come into force from the date of their final publication in the official Gazette. (1)2 2. Amendment of Rule 3:- In the Karnataka Excise (Sale of Indian & Foreign Liquors) Rules, 1968, in rule 3, in sub-rule (4), after the third proviso, the following provisos shall be inserted, namely:- “Provided also that, new licences granted in Form CL-4 in a place having not less than 10,000 sq. feet built-up area in City Corporations having a population of more than 20 lakhs, shall have any of the facilities specified in condition number 3 of first proviso, i.e., either outdoor games or indoor games or both: Provided also that, existing licences in Form CL-4 in a place having not less than 10,000 sq. feet built-up area in City Corporations having a population of more than 20 lakhs, and having any of the facilities specified in condition number 3 of first proviso, i.e., either outdoor games or indoor games or both, shall also be allowed to be renewed”.
