NOTIFICATION The draft of the following rules which the Government of Karnataka proposes to make in exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 read with section 8 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990), is hereby published as required by clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 3 of the said Act, for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration after fifteen days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette; Any objection or suggestion which may be received by the State Government from any person with respect to the said draft before the expiry of the period specified above will be considered by the State Government. Objections and suggestions may be addressed to the Principal Secretary to Government, Department of School Education and Literacy, M.S.Building, Bengaluru - 560 001. DRAFT RULES 1. Title and commencement. (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka General Services (Printing, Stationary and Publications) (Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules, 2022. In the Karnataka General Services (Printing, Stationary and Publications) (Recruitment) Rules, 2022, in the Schedule, in the category of the post of Joint Director' at serial number 2, for column (5) and the entries relating thereunder, the following shall be substituted, namely "For Promotion: Must have put in a service of not less than five years in the cadre specified in column (4): Provided that, for a period of 6 months from the date of commencement of the Karnataka General Services (Printing, Stationary and Publications) (Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules, 2022. if persons who have put in a service of not less than five years are not available, then persons who have put in a service of not less than two years may be considered for promotion."
