New Delhi, the 1st August, 2014
S.O. 1981(E).—In exercise of powers conferred by clause (a) of Section 3 of the National Highways
Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby authorizes the officers mentioned in column (2) of
the Schedule annexed hereto as the competent authorities to perform the functions of such authorities under
the said Act with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, in respect of
the stretch of land specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Schedule relating to
districts, taluks, police stations and villages mentioned in columns (4), (5), (6) and (7), respectively of said
schedule for building (widening/four-laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation of the National
Highway No. 21 & 95 (Kharar-Ludhiana Section) in the State of Punjab.
