NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 24th April, 2015
S.O. 1076(E):—Whereas by Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport
and Highways, No. S.O.2422(E), dated the 17.09.2014 published in The Gazette Of India, Extraordinary,
Part II, Section 3, Sub–Section (ii) and issued under Sub-section (1) of Section 3A of the National Highways
Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (here in after referred to as the said act), the Central Government declared its intention
to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for acquisition of land in respect
of land for DPR for Land Acquisition and construction of new bridge across river Kumdvati at Km.238.050
of National Highway No. 206 Tumkur – Honnavar section in the State of Karnataka.
And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in Local News Papers “Times
of India ” (English) “Vijayavani” (Kannada) dated the 01.10.2014 under sub-section (3) of section (3A) of
the said Act.
And whereas no objections were received from the land owners/interested persons regarding
acquisition of these lands within 21 days from date of application in newspapers.
And whereas in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3(D) of the said Act the competent authority

Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the Competent Authority, the Special Land
Acquisition Officer, National Highways Zone, Bangalore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section
(1) of section 3(D) of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in the said
Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
And further, in pursuance of sub section (2) of section 3(D) of the said Act, the Central Government
hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the lands specified in the said
Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
