w lh@531] vpy tSu] dk;dZ kjh fun’skd ¼Hkfwe vkSj lfqo/kk,&a 1½ MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (RAILWAY BOARD) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 23rd September 2014 S.O. 2484(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), number S.O. 3590(E), dated the 2nd December, 2013 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub–section (ii), dated the 5th December, 2013 and issued under Section (1) of Section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution of the Special Railway Project, namely, Western Dedicated Freight Corridor in the District Gandhinagar, in the State of Gujarat. And, whereas, the substance of the said notification has been published in the daily local newspapers, namely, The Times of India (English), dated the 25th December, 2013 and Sandesh (Gujarati) dated the 25th December, 2013 under sub- section (4) of Section 20A of the said Act;6 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)] And, whereas, 12 (twelve) number of objections has been received and the same has been considered and disallowed by the competent authority; And, whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of Section 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of Section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And, further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of Section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
