New Delhi, the 28th October 2014
S.O. 2794(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Railways (Railway
Board), number S.O. 1356(E), dated the 20th May, 2014 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II,
Section 3, Sub – section (ii),dated 22nd May, 2014 and issued under sub-section (1) of Section 20A of the Railways
Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire
the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution, maintenance,
management and operation of the Special Railway Project, namely, Western Dedicated Freight Corridor District Sirohi,
in the State of Rajasthan;
And, whereas, the substance of the said notification has been published in the daily local newspapers, namely,
(The Rajasthan Patrika, and The Dainik Bhaskar) dated 17th June, 2014 under sub-section (4) of Section 20A of the said
Act;
And, whereas, two objections have been received and the same have been considered following which one was
found without merit and the other was allowed by the competent authority;
And, whereas, in pursuance of Sub-section (1) of Section 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has

Now, therefore, upon receipt of the report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by
sub-section (1) of Section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the
Schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose.
And, further, in pursuance of Sub-section (2) of Section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule annexed hereto
shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
