Posted On: 27 FEB 2026 9:44PM by PIB Mumbai Mumbai, 27 February 2026 A press tour of journalists from various parts of the country to the Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT) was facilitated by Press Information Bureau Mumbai today to provide media representatives with first-hand exposure to the Institute’s academic ecosystem and infrastructure in the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (AVGC) sector.
The programme commenced with a presentation by, Shri Ninad Raikar, COO, IICT who outlined the Institute’s vision, mandate, industry collaborations, and roadmap for nurturing creative talent. Addressing the delegation, he stated, “IICT is a visionary initiative by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, designed to empower the next generation with future-ready skills. With state-of-the-art infrastructure and real-time industry exposure, the campus creates an immersive learning environment that bridges education and industry. For anyone aspiring to build a successful career in AVGC-XR, IICT is an ideal platform to upskill and unlock new opportunities.”The programme also included a screening of AI films created by IICT students, highlighting their technical proficiency and storytelling capabilities. The delegation subsequently undertook a guided campus tour, visiting production studios, animation and VFX labs, gaming and immersive technology facilities, and interacting with faculty members and students to understand the Institute’s hands-on training model. The visit concluded with an interactive Q&A session and a photo interaction with the IICT team.
