Around 200 officials of the Ministry, led by Secretary, MoEFCC, Shri Tanmay Kumar, participated in a mass yoga session. Senior officials also planted indigenous and medicinal plant species in the name of their mothers under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. The celebrations featured a series of activities aimed at promoting holistic health, harmony and environmental consciousness. A poster-making competition on the theme “समग्र ास्थ्य और साव” was organised for participants. Dr. Indu, Assistant Professor, Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY), evaluated the entries and delivered a lecture on the health benefits of yoga. Prizes were awarded to the three best entries, while saplings were distributed to all participants under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative.
