Pernamitta 2. Mukthinuthalapadhu including the Hamlet Gudimellapadu 3. Throvagunta 4. Koppolu 5. Narasapuram Agraharam 6. Pellur 7. Cheruvukommupallem 8. Vengamukkapalem including the Hamlet Kothamamidipalem, Prakasam District as Ongole Municipal Corporation under clause (d) of section 2 of Andhra Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1994. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) Section 17 of the Andhra Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1994 (Andhra Pradesh Act No.25 of 1994), the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby appoint the Collector and District Magistrate, Prakasam District as Special Officer to the Ongole Municipal corporation with effect from 16.03.2012 to exercise the powers, perform the duties and discharge the functions of the Corporation, Standing Committees, Commissioner and the Wards Committee for a period of 6 (six) months or until the elected members assume the Charge whichever is earlier.
