ORDER:
In the order 1st read above, Government have accorded permission to fill up 300
Veterinary Assistant posts on contract basis by appointing retired para veterinarians on a
consolidated pay @ 3300/- per month.
2. In the G.O. 2nd read above, Government enhanced the remuneration to Rs.5000/- to the
Veterinary Assistants working on contract basis.
3. In the G.O.s 3rd and 4th read above, the Government have sanctioned 89 Rural Livestock
Units, 3 Veterinary Dispensaries and upgraded 8 Rural Livestock Units into Veterinary
Dispensaries and directed to fill up the above said posts with retired veterinary officers on
contract basis temporarily.
4. In the G.O. 6th read above, Government have enhanced the remuneration of personnel
working on contract / outsourcing basis. At para no.6 of the said G.O., it is mentioned that in
respect of categories other than those mentioned in that G.O., the remuneration shall be fixed
not exceeding the minimum of time scale attached to the equivalent category of relevant post
in revised scale of pay 2010. As per para-7, the orders in paragraphs 5 and 6 of said G.O., shall
be applicable to both contract and outsourced personnel.
5. In their representation 7th read above, the Andhra Pradesh Veterinary Livestock Officers
Association has represented for enhancement of the remuneration to the retired
para-veterinarians working on contract basis.
6. In the letter 8th read above, the Director of Animal Husbandry, Hyderabad has requested
the Government to enhance the emoluments payable to the para veterinarians (392) working
on contract basis from the existing Rs.5000/- to Rs.9200/- per month i.e. the minimum of time
scale attached to Veterinary Assistant post in the revised pay scales of 2010 under the Head of
Account 300- Other Contractual Services.

7. After careful examination of the proposal, Government hereby enhance the remuneration
payable to the para veterinarians who are working on contract basis, from the existing
Rs.5,000/- to Rs.9,200/- i.e. minimum of the time scale attached to the post of Veterinary
Assistant under head of account 300-other contractual services from the date of issue of
orders, subject to the following conditions:-
(a) to limit the amount of remuneration plus admissible pension to the last pay
drawn in case the amount exceeds the last pay drawn of the retired person,
(b) to follow the guidelines issued in the Circular Memo 5th read above and
(c) to engage retired employees only below the age of 60 years.
8. The Director of Animal Husbandry shall take necessary action accordingly.
9. This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance (SMPC-II) Department vide their U.O.
No.2989/231/A2/SMPC-II/11, Dt.11-11-2011.
