From the Collector and District Magistrate, Ranga Reddy District letter No.H3/774/2011, Dated:02.02.2012. * * * O R D E R :- In the Government Memo 2nd read above, while forwarding representation along with its enclosures of Sri Mohd. Hashim, Mothukupally, Bantwaram Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, requested the Collector and District Magistrate, Ranga Reddy District to take necessary action in the matter as per Khazis Act. 2. In the letter 3rd read above, the Collector and District Magistrate, Ranga Reddy District has recommended Sri Mohammed Hashim, S/o. Sri Mohammed Ismail, R/o. Mothukupally Village, Bantwaram Mandal to appoint him as “Khazi” in terms and conditions laid down under Khazis Act for performing marriages to Muslims in Mominpet and Bantwaram Mandals of Ranga Reddy District, as per the recommendations of the Tahsildars of Bantwaram, Mominpet Mandals and Superintendent of Police, Ranga Reddy District. 3. Section 2 of Khazis Act, 1880, the Government is competent to appoint Khazi’s for any local area, whereas it appears to that any considerable number of Mohammedans resident in any local area desire that one or more Khazi’s should be appointed for such local area, if it thinks fit, after consulting the Principal Mohammedans residents of such local area, select one or more fit persons and appoint him then to be Khazi or Khazi’s for such local area. 4. Government after careful examination of the proposal of the Collector & District Magistrate, Ranga Reddy hereby appoint Sri Mohammed Hashim, S/o. Sri Mohammed Ismail, R/o. Mothukupally Village, Bantwaram Mandal as “Khazi” for Mominpet and Bantwaram Mandals of Ranga Reddy District under Section (2) of the Khazis Act, 1880 (Central Act XII of 1880) for performing marriages to Muslims. 5. If any question arises, whether any person has been rightly appointed Khazi under this Section, the decision thereof by the Government shall be conclusive. 6. The Government may, if it thinks fit, suspend or remove any Khazi appointed under this Section who, is guilty of any misconduct, in the execution of his office, or who is for continuous period of six months absent from the local area, for which he is appointed, or leaves such local area for the purpose or leaves such local area for the purpose of residing elsewhere, or is declared an insolvent, or desires to be discharged from the office, or who refuses or becomes in the opinion of the Government unfit, or personally incapable, to discharge the duties of the office.
