O R D E R
The Commissioner &Director of Municipal Administration, A.P., Hyderabad in the
letter 2nd read above has submitted the proposal received in the letter 3rd read above
from the District Collector, East Godavari District for inclusion of the following villages
in the Peri-urban areas into the Municipal Limits of Mandapet Municipality as required
under rule 5 (3) of the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities (Inclusion or Exclusion of areas
into / from the limits of Municipalities / Nagar Panchayats) Rules, 2006 issued in
G.O.Ms.No. 63, MA & UD Department, dated: 18.2.2006. He has therefore, requested to
issue necessary orders in the matter.
1.Meredubaka,
2.Nelateru,
3.Yeditha,
4.Tapeswaram,
5. Ippanapadu and
6. Arthamuru
2. Accordingly, the proposals of the Director of Municipal Administration, A.P.,
Hyderabad at a para (1) above has been considered and Show Cause Notice was issued
vide reference 4th read above to the Municipal Council, Mandapet calling for its
views/suggestion if any and of the Public on the proposal proposed to include the six
(6) Gram Panchayats i.e., 1.Meredubaka, 2.Nelateru, 3. Yeditha, 4. Tapeswaram, 5.
Ippanapadu and 6. Arthamuru into the limits of Mandapet Municipality.
3. In this connection, the Commissioner &Director of Municipal Administration,
A.P., Hyderabad has reported that the Municipal Commissioner, Mandapet has received
total seventeen (17) objections relating to five (05) Gram Panchayats from the people
of the concerned Gram Panchayats except Ippanapadu Gram Panchayat within the
stipulated period of 10 days requesting not to merge their Gram Panchayat into the
limits of Mandapet Municipality. The Municipal Council, in its resolution No. 124, date:
05.12.2011 has resolved accepting the proposals for inclusion of above Gram Panchayats
into Mandapet Municipality. In this connection, the Director of Municipal Administration,
A.P., Hyderabad has requested the Government to consider the report of the Municipal
Commissioner, Mandapet and issue necessary orders in terms of orders issued in the
reference 1st read above.
4. Government after careful examination of the matter have decided to include the
six (6) Gram Panchayats i.e., 1.Meredubaka, 2.Nelateru, 3. Yeditha, 4. Tapeswaram, 5.
Ippanapadu and 6. Arthamuru into the limits of the Mandapet Municipality.

5. In the reference 7th read above, Government in Panchayat Raj and Rural
Development Department have de-notified the above said six (6) Gram Panchayats of
East Godavari District for their merger into Mandapet Municipality.
6. Therefore, the Government hereby issue the following notification for inclusion
of six (6) Gram Panchayats 1.Meredubaka, 2.Nelateru, 3. Yeditha, 4. Tapeswaram, 5.
Ippanapadu and 6. Arthamuru into and from the limits of Mandapet Municipality.
7. The following notification will be published in an Extra-Ordinary Issue of the
Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated:07-02-2012.
8. The Commissioner, Printing, Stationary and Stores Purchase, Hyderabad is
requested to publish the following notification and furnish 50 copies of the same to the
Government immediately.
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred under Sub-section (1A) of section 3 of the
Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1965 (Andhra Pradesh Act 6 of 1965) read with clause
(vi) of rule 5 of the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities (inclusion or exclusion of the areas
into/from the limits of Municipalities/Nagar Panchayats) Rules, 2006 issued in
G.O.Ms.No.63, M.A. & U.D. (Elec.II) Department, dated 18.2.2006, the Governor of
Andhra Pradesh hereby alters the limits of the Mandapet Municipality by including the
following areas of the erstwhile Gram Panchayats of East Godavari District therein with
immediate effect:
1.Meredubaka,
2.Nelateru,
3.Yeditha,
4.Tapeswaram,
5. Ippanapadu and
6. Arthamuru
