O R D E R
The Commissioner &Director of Municipal Administration, A.P., Hyderabad in
the letter 2nd read above has submitted the proposal received in the letter 3rd read
above from the District Collector, Vizianagaram for inclusion of the following Gram
Panchayats into the Municipal Limits of Vizianagaram Municipality as stipulated
under rule 5 (3) of the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities (inclusion or Exclusion of areas
into / from the limits of Municipalities / Nagar Panchayats) Rules, 2006, issued in
G.O.Ms.No. 63, MA & UD Department, dated: 18.2.2006:
1. Dharmapuri,
2. Jammu (Jammunarayanapuram),
3. Ayyannapeta and
4. Venugopalapuram, H/o Kondakarakam
2. The Director of Municipal Administration, A.P., Hyderabad has also reported
that the Municipal Commissioner, Vizianagaram Municipality, has submitted the views /
objections and suggestions. As seen from the views/objections and suggestions, it is
observed that two representations from i.e., Sri Reddy narayana Rao, State Committee
Member, (APTFTU) and Sri Majji Trinadh Rao, Ex-Market Committee Director along with
the objection of the people of Darmapuri and Ayyanapeta Grampanchayats were received
who have requested not to merge their Grampanchayats into the limits of Vizianagaram
Municipality. After examining the said objections, the matter has been placed before the
Council and Municipal Council, Vizianagaram in its C.R.No.95/2011, dated 1.12.2011
resolved to send the proposals to Government, duly recommending for inclusion of (4)
Grampanchayats areas into the limits of Vizianagaram Municipality. He has therefore,
requested Government to take further action in terms of orders in the reference 1st read
above.
3. Government after careful consideration of the proposal, decided to include
the surrounding four (4) Gram Panchayats viz., 1.Dharmapuri, 2. Jammu
(Jammunarayanapuram), 3. Ayyannapeta and 4. Venugopalapuram, H/o Kondakarakam
into the limits of Vizianagaram Municipality. Accordingly, in the Memo 4th read above,
Government have issued a Show Cause Notice to the Vizianagaram Municipal Council
calling for their views/suggestion if any and of the Public on the proposal to include
the Gram Panchayats named in para (1) above into the limits of Vizianagaram
Municipality. The Vizianagaram Municipal Council vide its C.R.No.95/2011, dated
1.12.2011 has accepted for inclusion of above four(4) Gram Panchayats into limits of
Vizianagaram Municipality to provide infrastructure facilities.

4. In the reference 6th read above, Government in Panchayat Raj and Rural
Development Department have de-notified the above said four (4) Gram Panchayats
of Vizianagaram 5istrict for their merger into Vizianagaram Municipality.
5. Therefore, the Government hereby issue the following notification for
inclusion of four (4) Gram Panchayats viz., 1.Dharmapuri, 2. Jammu
(Jammunarayanapuram), 3. Ayyannapeta and 4. Venugopalapuram, H/o Kondakarakam
into and from the limits of Vizianagaram Municipality.
6. The following notification will be published in an Extra-Ordinary Issue of the
Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated:07-02-2012.
7. The Commissioner, Printing, Stationary and Stores Purchase, Hyderabad is
requested to publish the above notification and furnish 100 copies of the Andhra
Pradesh Gazette to the Government immediately.
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred under Sub-section (1A) of section 3 of the
Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1965 (Andhra Pradesh Act 6 of 1965) read with
clause (vi) of rule 5 of the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities (inclusion or exclusion of the
areas into/from the limits of Municipalities/Nagar Panchayats) Rules, 2006 issued in
G.O.Ms.No.63, M.A. & U.D. (Elec.II) Department, dated 18.2.2006, the Governor of
Andhra Pradesh hereby alters the limits of the Vizianagaram Municipality by including
the following areas of the erstwhile Gram Panchayats of Vizianagaram District therein
with immediate effect:-
1. Dharmapuri Gram Panchayat,
2. Jammu (Jammunarayanapuram) Gram Panchayat,
3. Ayyannapeta Gram Panchayat and
4. Venugopalapuram, H/o Kondakarakam
